Tulsa Man Charged After Social-Media Posts Urging Violence Against Federal Agents

The suspect, identified by authorities as Logan Murfin of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was photographed in custody by a Homeland Security Investigations officer. ICE posted the image on its official X account alongside a reminder that "Threatening to assault, murder or interfere with a federal agent is a FELONY."

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Murfin has been charged with ten counts: five counts of threatening to assault and murder federal law enforcement officers with the intent to impede, intimidate, interfere with, and retaliate against them, and five counts of interstate communication containing a threat to injure.

Allegations From Court Documents
According to court documents cited by prosecutors, Murfin knowingly posted multiple threatening and intimidating statements online advocating violence against federal agents. Prosecutors say he urged followers to stay armed and to kill agents when encountered, asserting that federal officers "don’t deserve to live."

ICE's social post on X said, in part: "Logan Murfin of Tulsa, OK, has been charged with ten counts after posting on social media that federal agents need to be gunned down, shot & executed."
