Two Disney World Shuttle Buses Collide on Busy Buena Vista Drive — Guest Captures Dramatic Video

Two Disney World shuttle buses collided on Buena Vista Drive in Orlando on Friday, Dec. 5, and a guest captured the scene on video. Witness Ember Donley said the Mickey Mouse–branded bus rear-ended the Minnie Mouse–branded bus while attempting a lane change, pushing a white sedan ahead of them. Video shows a shattered windshield, debris on the road, Disney transportation staff and a police car at the scene. Disney and local tourism authorities did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Two shuttle buses that transport guests around the Walt Disney World Resort collided on a busy Orlando roadway last week, and a visitor recorded the aftermath on video.

What happened: Ember Donley, who was riding a complimentary Disney bus to Animal Kingdom on Friday, Dec. 5, says traffic picked up as the bus turned onto Buena Vista Drive — the main thoroughfare linking several Disney parks and hotels. Donley told PEOPLE she filmed the scene after noticing activity ahead and saw one branded shuttle, known as the "Mickey Mouse" bus, smashed into another branded as the "Minnie Mouse" bus.

“We noticed that there was something going on in front of us, which is when I got my camera out. That was when we saw the Mickey Mouse bus smashed into the Minnie Mouse bus,”

In the footage shared with PEOPLE, Donley’s bus slowly passes the crash scene. A Disney World Transportation Services vehicle is parked behind the two damaged shuttles, and officials in neon green vests are visible inside one bus, appearing to assess the damage. A police car is also present, although its department markings are not readable in the clip.

Donley described significant damage to the front shuttle: "The windshield of the Mickey Mouse bus was completely smashed in," and she noted dust or debris on the road that appeared to come from the rear of the other bus. She said the collision looked like it occurred when the Mickey Mouse bus attempted a lane change and rear-ended the Minnie Mouse bus.

Witness reactions on social media included a comment from a TikTok user who said a family member was driving a white sedan that was pushed forward after the impact. The commenter added that everyone in the car and on the buses was "okay, just really shaken up." Local emergency services and Disney staff were on scene; no serious injuries have been reported in available accounts.

PEOPLE contacted a Disney World representative for comment but did not receive an immediate response. The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, which provides fire and EMS services to the Disney World Resort, also did not immediately reply to requests for information. The video remains available on social platforms and has drawn attention from other guests who noted visible damage to at least one of the resort’s iconic shuttle buses.
