An official said on Tuesday that a man and a woman were killed in a Russian strike on the eastern Ukrainian city of Slovyansk, local authorities reported.
Vadym Lyakh, head of the city military administration, posted on Facebook that another woman was injured and that three residential buildings sustained damage. Lyakh did not specify the type of weapon used.
Location: Slovyansk is in Donetsk region, roughly 15 kilometres from the Russian-Ukrainian front line.
The attack adds to ongoing civilian harm and infrastructure damage amid the wider conflict that began with Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Authorities have not yet released further details or the results of any investigation into the strike.
