What Triggered the Warning
Trump has repeatedly argued that mail-in ballots are prone to fraud, and at a recent rally in Michigan he called for banning most mail-in voting except in a handful of cases. That same day, the Justice Department — acting under the administration — filed an appeal with the Supreme Court seeking to reinstate a provision of an executive order that would give the federal government greater authority over state voter rolls.
“Like, you can literally make a list of all the things the Trump administration is attempting to do to undermine the midterm elections, and it feels like we're just moonwalking right into it like it's nothing,” Charlamagne said.
Charlamagne characterized the combination of rhetoric, policy proposals and legal maneuvers as an obvious attempt to tilt the playing field and help Republicans keep a narrow House majority.
