Bunia, May 29 — Congolese authorities reported a total of 1,028 suspected Ebola cases, Health Minister Samuel Roger Kamba told reporters late Friday, an increase from 906 the previous day.
The number of confirmed cases stands at 225, Kamba said. He provided the updated figures during a late Friday briefing in Bunia.
Health officials said they are continuing to investigate suspected cases and monitor the situation closely as they work to contain the outbreak and confirm diagnoses.
