Johnson called Massie a “pig” while reporting on allegations that the Kentucky congressman offered hush money to a former girlfriend ahead of a primary. Massie, who served alongside Greene in Congress and has been critical of former President Donald Trump, denied the claims.
Greene responded to a clip from Johnson's show, accusing him of amplifying misinformation and failing to contact her before airing the segment. She wrote:

Johnson defended his coverage as part of his role covering trending stories, saying he serves his audience and is entitled to his opinions. He also accused Greene of aligning with "left-wing extremists" and suggested she would complain about the fallout on mainstream TV programs.
Greene escalated the fight, tweeting, “You are a LYING scumbag @bennyjohnson and just to be clear we are definitely not friends.” She denied reports that she had fled the U.S., confirmed selling a home in Rome, Ga., and said she has another property under contract in Georgia as she plans to marry her partner, Brian.
