On Thursday, Trump signed an executive order intended to expand retirement benefits.

"After four years of disaster under Joe Biden, the President and Congressional Republicans are putting more money in families’ pockets by cooling inflation, lowering drug costs, expanding access to retirement accounts, and delivering the largest break for seniors in history," White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said in a statement to NewsNation and The Hill’s sister network.

The trip underscores the administration’s focus on senior voters, who are a key constituency in midterm contests. The White House framed the proposals as both immediate and long-term benefits for retirees, citing tax relief on Social Security, lower prescription drug costs and broader retirement-account access.
