Sen. Elizabeth Warren said she met with Fed chair nominee Kevin Warsh and concluded that gaps in his financial disclosures fail to meet Senate ethics standards. Warren Demands Delay: Warsh's Financial Disclosures 'Not in Compliance,' Senator Says

U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren said on April 16 that after meeting with Federal Reserve chair nominee Kevin Warsh she believes significant gaps in his financial disclosures fail to meet Senate ethics requirements and warrant postponing his confirmation hearing.
Warren, the top Democrat on the Senate Banking Committee, said Warsh was explicit in declining to provide additional documents she and others have requested. She described the situation as alarming and said the disclosures as submitted are unacceptable.
"This is not a financial report that is in compliance," Warren said. "That’s a red flag surrounded by fireworks and sparklers. This is a real problem."
Warren urged that Warsh’s scheduled confirmation hearing be delayed until outstanding disclosure issues are resolved. The exchange occurred ahead of a hearing set for next Tuesday.
