April 12 — Saudi Arabia said on Sunday it summoned Iraq's ambassador to protest what Riyadh described as threats from drones launched from Iraqi territory that targeted the kingdom and other Gulf states.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry, in a statement, said it had "emphasised the importance of Iraq dealing responsibly with these threats and attacks." Riyadh called on Baghdad to take measures to prevent its territory from being used for cross-border strikes that jeopardise regional security.

The diplomatic move reflects heightened tensions in the Gulf as states respond to the growing use of unmanned aerial systems in regional confrontations. Saudi Arabia's summons aims to place diplomatic pressure on Iraq to investigate the incidents and curb militant activity within its borders.
