Historic Bomb Cyclone Pounds the Northeast

A powerful "bomb cyclone" swept through the Northeast overnight Sunday into Monday, dropping more than two feet of snow in some locations and prompting multiple emergency declarations and travel bans. Tens of millions were placed under blizzard warnings. While some East Coast cities — including New York, Philadelphia and Atlantic City — may briefly climb above freezing today, forecasters warn melted snow is likely to refreeze after sunset, creating hazardous, slick conditions into Wednesday morning.

Mexico Violence After Death of Cartel Leader

Mexico is facing unrest after its military wounded and then neutralized Nemesio "El Mencho" Oseguera Cervantes in a raid near Tapalpa on Sunday. His death sparked clashes that left dozens dead and led to reports of arson against buses and businesses. President Claudia Sheinbaum said authorities are working to restore "peace, security and normalcy." Search Continues for Nancy Guthrie

Investigators searching for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of "Today" show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, say doorbell camera footage captured a masked person at her Tucson home on more than one night. Nancy Guthrie was last seen on January 31 at her secluded residence. Local, state and federal teams have spent more than three weeks scouring rugged desert terrain for evidence that could lead to her return.

Ukraine Marks Four Years Since Full-Scale Invasion

Ukraine marks four years since Russia launched its full-scale invasion. President Volodymyr Zelensky praised his country's resilience, saying Ukrainians "did not raise a white flag — they defended the blue and yellow one." Continued Russian strikes on energy infrastructure have caused widespread blackouts and heating outages amid one of the coldest winters in years.
