Poland probing whether Epstein's "satanic circle" trafficked Polish girls

Poland's prime minister said Warsaw will form an analytical team to probe whether Polish victims were trafficked through networks connected to Jeffrey Epstein and to examine possible links to Russian intelligence. The announcement follows the U.S. Department of Justice's release of roughly 3 million pages of Epstein-related documents. The small, classified team will be led by the justice minister and prosecutor general and may request additional non-public material from U.S. authorities. Officials stressed the need for a careful, evidence-based review due to potential national-security implications.

Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced on Wednesday that Warsaw will investigate potential ties between convicted financier Jeffrey Epstein's network and Russian intelligence, and whether Polish victims were trafficked through those networks. The move follows the U.S. Department of Justice's recent release of roughly 3 million additional pages of records related to Epstein's activities.

"We cannot allow any of the cases involving the abuse of the Polish children by a network of pedophiles and the organizer of this satanic circle, Mr. Epstein, to be treated lightly or ignored," Tusk said, adding that initial information points to individuals in Krakow who allegedly told Epstein they "already had a group of Polish women or girls."

Tusk said the government will establish a small, classified analytical team to review material "file by file" and determine whether to open formal investigations. The team will be led by the justice minister and the prosecutor general and will include prosecutors, police officers and members of the national security services.

Scope And National Security Concerns

Beyond potential criminal matters, Tusk warned that media reports and analysts have suggested Epstein's operations could have been exploited by foreign intelligence services — including Russian agencies — to collect compromising material on influential figures. If such material exists and is being used, it could pose continuing risks to democratic institutions and national security.

Government spokespeople said the group will operate under classified procedures and begin work immediately. Based on the team's findings, Poland may request additional non-public documents from U.S. authorities about any Polish individuals identified in the files and could call for a coordinated international inquiry.

Russia has dismissed suggestions of involvement. In December, Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, said the Epstein files revealed perceived hypocrisy among Western elites. Tusk emphasized that no specific links between Epstein and Russian agencies have been publicly substantiated and that a careful, evidence-based review is required before drawing conclusions.
