Kyle Chrisley, 34, was arrested in Rutherford County, Tenn., on Dec. 20 after deputies say he attacked officers and injured three deputies. Authorities allege his wife called reporting he was belligerent and that he admitted to drinking about 64 ounces of beer. Court records show he faces 10 charges, was released on an $88,500 bond, and has a hearing set for Jan. 27, 2026. The arrest follows prior legal disputes — including a lawsuit he and his wife filed alleging wrongful arrest — and a March 2023 aggravated assault arrest.
Kyle Chrisley Arrested in Tennessee: Allegedly Struck Three Deputies During Dec. 20 Arrest

New details have emerged about Kyle Chrisley’s latest arrest in Rutherford County, Tenn., after authorities say the 34-year-old reality TV alum became violent during an encounter on Dec. 20.
According to a statement from the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, Chrisley — the son of Todd and Julie Chrisley — allegedly punched and injured three deputies before officers were able to take him into custody.
“When attempting to speak with Mr. Chrisley, he became immediately aggressive, charged at deputies and began to throw punches and assault deputies,” RCSO Sgt. Brady Greene said in the statement. The department said deputies deployed OC spray before taking Chrisley into custody.
Officials say Chrisley’s wife, Ashleigh, placed the initial call reporting that he was being “belligerent.” Deputies allege Chrisley appeared intoxicated and admitted to consuming roughly 64 ounces of beer that night.
Charges, Bond and Hearing
Online court records list 10 charges stemming from the Dec. 20 incident, including Domestic Assault; Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer; Disorderly Conduct; Resisting Arrest; Public Intoxication; and Retaliation For Past Actions. Records show Chrisley was released on an $88,500 bond and has a hearing scheduled for Jan. 27, 2026.
Related Legal History
This arrest adds to a string of recent legal entanglements for Chrisley. In August, he and his wife filed a lawsuit against Rutherford County and two sheriff’s deputies related to his Sept. 9, 2024, arrest on aggravated assault charges. The suit alleges Chrisley was wrongly detained after an incident in which — the filing says — a disgruntled mechanic arrived at the couple’s home, threatened violence and used his vehicle as a weapon. The complaint claims deputies arrested Chrisley rather than the man who allegedly instigated the disturbance, and it seeks $1.7 million in damages plus legal fees.
Police records also show Chrisley was arrested in March 2023 on an alleged felony aggravated assault charge after a physical altercation with a supervisor at a Smyrna, Tenn., truck rental company.
Family Background
Chrisley’s estranged parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, have faced their own high-profile legal battles. Earlier this year they were pardoned by President Donald Trump. The couple had been indicted, convicted in federal court and — in November 2022 — sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison on charges including bank and wire fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy.
