Kyle Rittenhouse, 22, announced on social media that he married Bella Nelson Rittenhouse, 22, and posted wedding photos showing the bride holding an AR-style rifle with pink sights. The couple appears to have wed in June 2025 and later attended a memorial for Charlie Kirk. Rittenhouse, who was acquitted in 2021 after the Kenosha shootings, says he plans to challenge Rep. Tony Gonzales in the March 2026 Republican primary and remains the subject of civil suits seeking $20 million.

Kyle Rittenhouse, 22, has returned to social media to announce that he married Bella Nelson Rittenhouse, 22, and to signal a renewed role in conservative politics.

“I’m back on social media, I’m back in the fight, and I’m here to stay. For a quick update, 6 months ago I made the best decision of my life and married my best friend. @BellRittenhouse, I couldn’t be happier. I love you beautiful.”

The couple appears to have wed in June 2025. Bella Nelson Rittenhouse, a native of Defuniak Springs, Florida, posted a set of wedding photos on Instagram dated June 8, 2025; several images show her in a wedding gown posing with an AR-style rifle fitted with custom pink front and rear sights. The pair later attended a memorial service for conservative commentator Charlie Kirk in September.

Background

Kyle Rittenhouse first drew national attention in 2020 after he shot three people during unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, killing two and wounding a third. He was 17 at the time and had traveled from Illinois with an AR-15-style rifle, saying he intended to protect businesses after the police shooting of Jacob Blake.

Legal Outcome And Public Profile

Rittenhouse was charged with homicide; his trial became a high-profile national event. In November 2021 a Wisconsin court acquitted him, concluding he had acted in self-defense. Since the trial he has become a prominent figure on the conservative circuit—appearing in interviews, meeting political figures, speaking at events and working at a gun shop in Florida.

Recent Return And Political Plans

After a period largely away from public postings through much of 2025, Rittenhouse posted the marriage announcement and said he plans to challenge Rep. Tony Gonzales in the Republican primary scheduled for March 2026. Gonzales was the only Texas Republican to back a modest gun-reform bill in 2022, according to reports.

Rittenhouse also wrote that he is still facing civil litigation seeking $20 million from the families of the two men killed in Kenosha and from Gaige Grosskreutz, who was wounded. The civil suits remain pending.

This announcement marks both a personal milestone and a potential re-entry into public political activity for Rittenhouse, whose actions and legal case continue to spark debate across the country.
