An Autauga County jury convicted Jason Hudson on 84 criminal counts in October, and he was sentenced to a total of 965 years in prison for a string of child sexual offenses, including rape, sodomy, incest, sexual abuse of a child under 12, and the production and possession of child sexual abuse material.

The investigation began when Hudson downloaded tagged child sexual abuse material on information-sharing platforms, triggering a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office opened an inquiry and ultimately seized thousands of files depicting the sexual abuse of children.

Prosecutors say the seized material included videos of male and female children, some reported to be under two years old, subjected to sexual assault and extreme physical abuse. Investigators also determined that Hudson had recorded home videos of himself sexually abusing a child under the age of 12.

In a victim impact statement read in court, the victim called Hudson a “monster” and said they have since reclaimed their life and that he “no longer has a hold on their life.”

Hudson’s wife, Farren Hudson, previously pleaded guilty to a first-degree sodomy charge and was sentenced in July to 30 years in prison.

District Attorney C.J. Robinson praised the victim’s courage and described the case as one that will remain with him; he also said he wished the law had allowed consideration of the death penalty in this matter.
