What was announced

On June 16, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump unveiled "Trump Mobile" and introduced the T1, a gold-colored handset that closely resembles an iPhone. The company also promoted a subscription called the '47 Plan' promising unlimited talk, text and data, plus extras such as roadside assistance and telehealth, for $47.45 per month.

Changes and delays

Within days of the announcement the site's explicit 'MADE IN THE USA' label was removed and replaced with softer language saying the device was 'brought to life right here in the USA' and made with 'American hands.'

The company initially set an August release. A spokesperson later said the phone would arrive in October, but as of late November the Trump Mobile website lists the T1 as coming 'later this year.' The company's account on X has been inactive since August 27, and it has not responded to requests for comment about the delay.

Pre-orders and outstanding questions

Trump Mobile continues to accept pre-orders for a $100 deposit, with the remaining $399 billed when the phone ships. Beyond the deposit page and revised wording, few verifiable details about manufacturing origin, production partners or a firm ship date have been disclosed.

Bottom line: The T1 remains unshipped months after its planned debut, leaving consumers and observers with unanswered questions about where and when the device will be produced and distributed.
