Next Cape Canaveral Launch: FAA Lists Starlink Flights Late This Weekend

Holiday visitors to Florida's Space Coast may have to wait to see a rocket: no launches are scheduled until late in the weekend. An FAA advisory lists a Falcon 9 Starlink mission no earlier than 3:11 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30 from Pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center, and another window at 3:16 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2 from LC-40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Times are provisional — monitor FAA and SpaceX updates for changes.

Visitors to Florida's Space Coast over the Thanksgiving holiday should not expect an immediate rocket show — there are no launches scheduled until late in the weekend.

A week without a liftoff on the Space Coast is uncommon. After the region's 101st launch of the year on Nov. 22, Florida's usual launch cadence has slowed. Cape Canaveral typically averages about two launches per week, but this holiday stretch has pushed the gap between missions to more than seven days.

FAA advisory for the next launch: A Federal Aviation Administration advisory lists a Falcon 9 mission as no earlier than 3:11 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30, from Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. SpaceX has not yet issued a formal confirmation. The Falcon 9 is scheduled to carry another batch of Starlink internet satellites into orbit, with a planned ascent trajectory to the southeast.

The FAA schedule also shows a subsequent Starlink launch window set for no earlier than 3:16 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

What to know if you're watching

  • Launch dates and times are provisional: official FAA notices and SpaceX updates may change the schedule.
  • If you plan to watch in person, check local access rules, closure notices, and weather forecasts before heading out.
  • Expect the launches to follow a southeast trajectory on ascent; viewing angles and visibility depend on your location along the Space Coast.

These Starlink missions have driven much of the recent activity at Cape Canaveral, and while a short pause has fallen during the holiday week, flights are listed to resume by the end of the weekend.
