No injuries or arrests were immediately reported, but a Ninth Street advisory warned of industrial-size fireworks and reports of vandalism to autonomous vehicles.

LAPD Responds to Street Takeovers After Dodgers' World Series Victory

The Los Angeles Police Department late Saturday night responded to multiple street takeovers in neighborhoods including Pacoima, Echo Park and downtown Los Angeles as crowds of Dodgers fans celebrated the team's World Series victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Precautionary tactical alert: An LAPD spokesperson said the department issued a citywide tactical alert at 5:45 p.m. while Game Seven was still underway in Toronto to prepare for any potential public response.

After the Dodgers clinched the title in the 11th inning, fans poured into streets across the city. Officers issued dispersal orders in several locations — including intersections in downtown L.A., Echo Park and Pacoima — to clear roadways and restore public safety.

Video from AIR7 captured cars performing donuts at a Pacoima intersection while bystanders ignited fireworks. Officials said there were no immediate reports of injuries or arrests.

Police also issued a dispersal order at the intersection of Figueroa Street and Chick Hearn Court downtown. Nearby, on Ninth Street between Main and Olive, the LAPD posted a traffic advisory warning of a large crowd launching what were described as industrial-size fireworks and of reports that some autonomous vehicles had been vandalized.

The department urged motorists to avoid affected areas, expect temporary road closures and follow officer instructions. Residents are reminded to report emergencies by calling 911 and to stay clear of crowded intersections where fireworks and vehicle stunts are taking place.
