Who Is Eugene Horsch? Philadelphia Man’s Arrest Sparks FBI Probe, Hearing Set for November
Who is Eugene Horsch? Hearing date for Horsch arrest

Eugene Horsch, 44, was arrested after a Center City traffic stop led police and the FBI to search the rowhouse he shared with his late father, Raymond "R.C." Horsch.

Officers seized a forged DEA ID, drug paraphernalia, firearms and a counterfeit ID linked to a missing woman; investigators also recovered disturbing digital material but have not tied Horsch directly to those files.

He is held at FDC Philadelphia, has a motions hearing on Nov. 3, and his trial has been continued to mid‑March 2027.

Eugene Horsch, 44, is at the center of a months‑long police and FBI investigation in Philadelphia after a routine traffic stop in Center City led to his arrest and a wider probe of the rowhouse he shared with his late father, pornographer Raymond "R.C." Horsch.

The encounter began when a Park Ranger stopped a vehicle for a parking violation. What started as a minor enforcement action quickly expanded when officers discovered a forged DEA identification, drug paraphernalia, firearms and a counterfeit identification card bearing the name of a woman reported missing.

Authorities subsequently executed searches at the Philadelphia rowhouse the two men had occupied. Investigators recovered digital materials described by police as disturbing; however, as of a Sept. 16 press conference they said they had not identified Eugene Horsch in any of the processed videos and could not yet conclusively tie him to those files.

Custody and court dates: As of Oct. 1, Horsch was being held at the Federal Detention Center Philadelphia (700 Arch St.). He is scheduled to appear for a motions hearing on Nov. 3, and the court has continued his trial to mid‑March 2027.

The case remains active and high profile in Philadelphia as law enforcement, including the FBI, continues to process evidence and follow leads. Investigators have emphasized that their work is ongoing and that many questions remain about the extent of Horsch’s involvement, if any, with the digital materials found in the home.
