Philadelphia 'House of Horrors' Linked to Multiple Missing Women After Disturbing Videos Recovered

Police in Philadelphia say investigators recovered a video allegedly showing late pornographer Raymond Charles "R.C." Horsch strangling a woman inside his dilapidated Olney home on West Chew Avenue — a property now tied to multiple missing-woman cases.

Allegations and Evidence

The revelation came as detectives and the FBI continue to process a vast trove of evidence seized from the home and from the vehicle of Horsch's son, Eugene Horsch, who was arrested on June 19. A cousin of Nicole Fusaro, who disappeared in 2018, told WCAU-TV that investigators believe the footage depicts Horsch killing Fusaro. Police previously indicated evidence suggested at least two other women may have died inside the residence.

Searches Yield Extensive Materials

Authorities executed dozens of search warrants at the Olney property and at locations tied to the Horsch family. Officers reported finding illegal firearms, forged law-enforcement credentials, large amounts of illicit drugs, five urns containing cremains, and what appeared to be a marijuana grow operation. A subsequent search uncovered a makeshift laboratory with 20 containers of an unknown oily substance and a 55-gallon drum plumbed into the home's water lines — a configuration Philadelphia officials described as "strange." The containers were sent to a Chicago lab for testing; results are pending.

Massive Digital Forensic Effort

Forensic teams have seized a colossal cache of digital material: investigators report roughly 600,000 images, 70,000 videos, and more than 10,000 pages of drawings and writings. A computer forensics lab has reviewed only a fraction of that evidence — roughly 5% to 7% — and described the material as "graphic and dark." Among the files initially reviewed are photos and video recordings that appear to show two women, Maribel Fresses and Gabrielle Amarando, deceased inside the Horsch home. Amarando has been missing since 2012; Fresses was last seen in 2018. Neither body has been recovered.

Arrest, Vehicle Search, and Related Missing Person

Police say Eugene Horsch, 44, was stopped while driving near Independence Mall after a disturbance involving a female passenger. The passenger produced a false ID with the name Blair Tonzelli — a person listed as missing since 2023 — which investigators allege was provided by Eugene. A search of the BMW reportedly turned up two illegal handguns, about $8,000 in illicit drugs, and a forged DEA badge bearing Eugene's photo. Inspector Raymond Evers said detectives later learned Tonzelli "will never be seen again," though he did not elaborate publicly.

Background on Raymond "R.C." Horsch

Raymond Horsch, who died in 2025 at age 82, spent decades producing violent pornographic films and books. Prosecutors say he regularly solicited sex workers and paid them with cash and drugs to appear in sadomasochistic material. He was never charged in connection with the disappearances of Fusaro or other missing women linked to the property.

Ongoing Investigation

The Philadelphia Police Department requested help from the FBI Evidence Recovery Team to process the home lab and the enormous volume of digital evidence. Investigators are continuing forensic analysis and cross-referencing seized items and files to known missing-person cases. Eugene Horsch is currently jailed on federal firearms and impersonation charges and has not been charged in the disappearances; he is due back in federal court in January 2027.

Officials emphasize that many of the findings remain under investigation and that allegations seen in seized media still require independent forensic confirmation and legal review.
