President Donald Trump escalated his months-long feud with CNN correspondent Kaitlan Collins late Tuesday by posting two midnight messages on Truth Social accompanied by a mocking video clip.

Labelled "Day in the life of a CNN Reporter," the short clip features comedian and online creator Patrick W. Cutler wearing a red dress, a blond wig and bright red lipstick. The narrator in the video opens with the line, "My life as someone who tells lies all day long," then performs a satirical routine about putting on "fake news outfits" and "bashing Trump 24/7." The post does not identify any specific reporter Cutler is impersonating.

The posts arrived hours after Collins, 34, defended herself on Anderson Cooper 360° while at the United Nations in New York, responding to earlier criticism from the president. Trump, 80, has repeatedly targeted Collins in public remarks, including a July quip at the White House Correspondents' Dinner comparing her to transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

That July remark recalled a wider controversy: Mulvaney faced a conservative backlash in 2023 after promoting Bud Light on social media, which prompted boycotts by some public figures. At the dinner, Trump joked, "I thought Kaitlan had really made it big with a major new sponsorship. But then I informed her that it wasn't her on the Bud Light can, it was Dylan Mulvaney."
In his later Truth Social post, Trump again attacked Collins by name and used inflammatory language accusing CNN and other outlets of disloyalty.
