Daniel Ramirez, 47, was arrested at the Port of Miami on July 31 after surveillance video of a July 26 incident at the Hard Rock Cafe at Bayside Marketplace circulated online. The bartender alleges Ramirez shoved her twice, causing a concussion and a broken tooth that required emergency dental care. Ramirez denies intentionally striking the employee and says the contact was an accident; he was released on bond after a judge appearance. Investigators say social-media posts helped lead detectives to Ramirez at the cruise terminal.

A Texas man was arrested at the Port of Miami after surveillance footage showing a violent encounter inside the Hard Rock Cafe at Bayside Marketplace began circulating online. Daniel Ramirez, 47, a Lubbock resident, was taken into custody on July 31 at the Royal Caribbean terminal, nearly a week after the July 26 incident.

Ramirez appeared before a Miami-Dade judge on August 1 and posted bond the same day; he was released early on August 2. Outside the jail, Ramirez told Local 10 News, "We ran into each other. I never hit her," and repeated that the contact was an accident. Investigators, however, say the footage appears to show him forcefully knocking a bartender to the ground.

What Authorities Say

According to the arrest report and the bartender's account, Ramirez allegedly entered an employee-only area and began eating fruit meant for drink garnishes. When the employee asked him to stop, she says he responded with an insult and then complained to a manager, insisting no woman could tell him what to do. The manager allegedly told the bartender to act as if she were being reprimanded.

Roughly 30 minutes later, the bartender says Ramirez returned and shoved her with both hands, sending her into a rack. After he left, she followed and tried to photograph him; she alleges Ramirez then knocked her phone away and shoved her again, causing her to lose consciousness. The employee, who has not been publicly identified, reported a concussion, bruising and a broken tooth that required emergency dental treatment.

How He Was Found

Footage of the first confrontation spread widely after social-media creator Michael McWhorter (TizzyEnt) asked followers to help identify the man. Miami detectives located Ramirez after several days of searching and arrested him at the cruise terminal. The bartender praised detectives for the quick response and said the arrest offered some relief after a frightening week.

Note: The details above reflect the arrest report and victim statements; Ramirez has denied intentionally striking the bartender and called the contact accidental. Public reports did not list formal charges at the time of his release on bond.

The incident has renewed concerns about workplace safety and bystander intervention in busy public venues. Miami police continue to investigate and have urged anyone with additional information or footage to come forward.
