At least one person was killed and seven wounded in an airstrike on Kherson, while a drone strike on a minibus in Nikopol injured seven, regional officials said. Oleksandr Hanzha described the bus attack as "a deliberate and cynical attack on civilians" and posted a photo of the charred vehicle. President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that overnight strikes on Kyiv killed nine people and wounded 33. The strikes come as Russia's war on Ukraine, now nearly four and a half years long, continues to hit civilian infrastructure.

At least one resident was killed and seven others wounded in a Russian airstrike on Ukraine's southern Kherson region, regional military administration head Oleksandr Prokudin said on Telegram on Saturday. Authorities reported that the strike, which was accompanied by artillery fire, damaged multiple buildings and vehicles in the frontline area that has been repeatedly targeted by Russian forces.

In Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, a drone strike on a minibus wounded seven passengers, regional military administrator Oleksandr Hanzha said on Telegram. Hanzha called the incident "a deliberate and cynical attack on civilians" and posted a photograph showing the minibus's charred shell with flames still visible. He also attached the hashtag #russiaisaterroriststate to his post.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday morning that overnight strikes on the capital Kyiv left at least nine residents dead and 33 others wounded. The attacks occurred amid a brutal war that has lasted almost four and a half years, during which Russian forces have increasingly targeted civilian infrastructure across Ukraine.

Casualties and Damage

Local authorities and emergency services responded to the scenes, treating the wounded and extinguishing fires. Officials reported damage to residential buildings, vehicles and public infrastructure in the affected areas. Investigations and rescue operations are ongoing.
