A private meeting between two teachers who once had a romantic relationship escalated into violence inside a Miami charter boarding school, leaving both educators under arrest, according to police.
Miami-Dade Schools Police identified the accused as 36-year-old Terrod Tiyan Torrence and fellow teacher Odiria Biggins in an arrest affidavit obtained by Fox News Digital. Investigators say the pair previously dated and share a child.
Terrod Torrence was charged with domestic violence after investigators say a confrontation with a fellow teacher at The SEED School of Miami turned physical.
Authorities say Biggins agreed to meet Torrence on July 17 after he left a handwritten note on her desk. The meeting took place in Classroom 119 at The SEED School of Miami, the affidavit states.
Allegations and Sequence of Events
According to the affidavit, what began as a conversation became physical. Biggins told investigators Torrence repeatedly punched her on the left side of the head and slammed her head into a wall, causing her to lose consciousness. After regaining consciousness, she allegedly retrieved a canister of pepper spray from her vehicle and later located Torrence elsewhere on campus before spraying him, Miami ABC affiliate WSVN reported.

Surveillance footage reportedly shows Biggins entering a classroom where Torrence was present. Moments later, both teachers emerged; Torrence appeared to have difficulty walking and showed visible eye irritation before school staff intervened. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Charges and Court Action
Biggins was arrested and charged with discharging a weapon on school property for allegedly using pepper spray on campus, as well as misdemeanor domestic violence battery. A judge found probable cause and set her bond at $2,000.
Torrence was arrested by Miami-Dade Schools Police and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence battery. Court records indicate he was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and appeared before Judge Alicia Garcia Priovolos, who imposed a $2,000 standard bond and issued a pretrial no-contact order barring him from contacting Biggins. His arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 23.
