Toledo Arrests One Suspect, Seeks Second After Old West End Festival Shooting That Wounded 12

Toledo police have identified two people they allege were involved in a mass shooting at the Old West End Festival on June 6 that wounded 12 people.

Investigators arrested Eljay Crisp-Carr; prosecutors have charged him with 11 counts of felonious assault. The other suspect, 20-year-old Ka Nye Taylor, remains at large and is wanted on 11 counts of felonious assault.

Suspect Description: Authorities describe Taylor as approximately 5 ft 11 in, about 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police say the violence began after a dispute between rival groups. Investigators reported that two people exchanged gunfire during the festival: one person allegedly fired from the beer garden area while another returned fire. Of the 12 people shot, three were reportedly involved in the confrontation and nine were bystanders.

Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz said all 12 victims are expected to survive; nine had been released from the hospital as of June 10. Toledo police emphasized the investigation is active and ongoing as officers continue to pursue leads.
