President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on May 3 that he has offered Finland a formal drone-cooperation agreement to deepen bilateral ties and share Ukrainian drone technology and combat experience developed over four years of war with Russia.
What Zelenskiy Proposed
According to Zelenskiy, the proposal would include sharing technical know-how and battlefield lessons learned from Ukraine's extensive use of drones during the conflict. He framed the offer as a way to "strengthen those who have been strengthening us" since the start of the full-scale invasion.
"Ukraine is ready to share its expertise and strengthen those who have been strengthening us since the very beginning of the full-scale invasion," Zelenskiy said after meeting Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo in Yerevan.
The announcement follows a meeting between Zelenskiy and Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo in Yerevan, underscoring Kyiv's push to deepen defense and technology cooperation with supportive partners.
