Design Details
Preview images obtained by PEOPLE and first published by Fox News show President Donald Trump’s portrait on the inside front cover, set against an image of the Declaration of Independence. Below the portrait, the president’s signature is rendered in gold. On the opposing page, artwork depicts the 1776 signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The exterior covers are also updated: the front swaps the positions of the words "United States of America" and "Passport," while the back displays a 1777 version of the American flag with the numerals "250" placed among the 13 stars.
Availability And Security
State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott confirmed the agency will release a "limited number of specially designed passports" to commemorate the semiquincentennial. In a statement, Pigott said,
"These passports will feature customized artwork and enhanced imagery while maintaining the same security features that make the U.S. Passport the most secure document in the world."

The department said there will be no additional fee to request the limited‑edition passport. However, the special documents will be distributed only at the Washington Passport Agency and only while supplies last. Any American citizen who applies when the new design becomes available may receive one, but the State Department has not disclosed the total number of passports it will produce. The rollout is expected to coincide with July's semiquincentennial celebrations.
