An 18-year-old Peters Township High School senior has been arrested and charged with running an alleged large-scale sextortion network that targeted minors across social media.
According to a criminal complaint and multiple news reports, Zachariah Abraham Meyers was taken into custody on Feb. 20 and faces 304 felony counts, including trafficking in minors, sexual extortion, unlawful contact with a minor, distribution of child sexual abuse material and criminal use of a communications facility. Authorities say further forensic review of seized devices may result in additional charges.
How Investigators Say the Scheme Worked
Investigators allege Meyers used social platforms — including TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram — to contact boys aged roughly 14 to 17. Law enforcement says he catfished victims by posing as several different personas, including an adult film performer from the Netherlands, a man in Arizona and an unidentified young woman.

The complaint states Meyers directed minors to produce and share sexually explicit photos and videos, at times by coercion, and in at least two instances demanded $500 to avoid distributing the material. In one alleged case, after a teenager declined to pay, that teen's sister received an Instagram message containing a nude photo of him.
Scope and Disturbing Allegations
Police interviewed roughly 30 boys and identified at least 21 who were targeted; investigators say at least 14 of those teens sent explicit images. The complaint notes that all but one of the victims believed they were communicating with an "attractive young female."
Additional allegations included a claim that Meyers pressured a 15-year-old to pose as an adult on adult LGBTQ dating apps and engage in sexual acts with adult men despite repeated refusals. The complaint also alleges he coerced another victim to film 10 juveniles in a private area inside the high school.

Arrest, School Response and Next Steps
Meyers, who local reporting says served as president of his senior class and participated in athletics, was arrested after police executed a search warrant at his home and seized electronic devices. Investigators say they found evidence on those devices linking him to the social accounts involved in the alleged scheme. He is being held without bail.
The Peters Township School District issued a statement saying police have indicated there is no ongoing safety risk to students and that the district will continue cooperating with the investigation. School officials emphasized that student safety remains the district's highest priority.
