According to an arrest citation issued by the Scott County Sheriff’s Department and reported by the Louisville Courier Journal, the incident began after a woman contacted police following a prearranged meeting with Farthing. The woman told officers she felt pressured to accept a “gummy” from Farthing and said she was unsure what the product contained.
Deputies who responded to Farthing’s Georgetown residence reportedly found a firearm and ammunition on a bedside table, per the citation and local reporting. The woman was described in the paperwork as “intoxicated and extremely fearful” and was transported to a hospital, according to FOX 56, which referenced the same document.

While the woman was being interviewed, the citation says Farthing allegedly sent a text that read, “Why would you do this to me unreal id never hurt u.” The arrest paperwork also quotes Farthing as saying the woman “had been perfectly fine prior to her disappearance from the group,” according to FOX 56.
This is at least Farthing’s second arrest since his high-profile Powerball win. Local reporting, including the Post Courier, says Farthing was arrested in Florida in April 2025—just days after winning the jackpot—on allegations that included battery and resisting or obstructing arrest, and that he allegedly battered a law enforcement officer.
Court records show Farthing is scheduled to appear in Scott County court on April 2, WKYT reported. The charges in the current case are allegations and have not been proven in court; the investigation remains ongoing, and additional details may emerge as prosecutors and investigators proceed.
