Waleed Khan is facing multiple charges relating to allegations of conspiring with the Islamic State to provide information to ISIS, along with two attempted kidnappings, according to Toronto police.

Canadian authorities charged 26-year-old Waleed Khan of Toronto with multiple terrorism-related offences, alleging he conspired with ISIS and facilitated murder between June 17 and August 17. Two co-accused, Osman Azizov, 18, and Fahad Sadaat, 19, were arrested in connection with two alleged attempted kidnappings in May and June. Investigators say they recovered firearms and evidence suggesting further hate-motivated crimes against the Jewish community. In total, police have laid 79 charges against the three men, with each reportedly facing 14 counts including attempted kidnapping with a firearm and sexual assault with a weapon.

Canadian authorities have charged a 26-year-old Toronto man accused of conspiring with the Islamic State and linked him to a series of alleged violent incidents in the Greater Toronto Area.

Charges and Allegations

Police identified the accused as Waleed Khan, 26. Toronto police and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police say Khan faces multiple terrorism-related counts, including conspiring to commit murder for a terrorist organization, providing funds and property to ISIS, and assisting terrorist activity. The RCMP say the alleged offences occurred between June 17 and August 17.

Arrests and Alleged Attempted Kidnappings

Authorities say Khan is linked to two alleged attempted kidnappings in May and June alongside two co-accused, Osman Azizov, 18, and Fahad Sadaat, 19. In the May incident, investigators allege the three men approached a woman, with one suspect armed with a handgun and another holding a knife, and attempted to force her into a vehicle before fleeing when another motorist intervened.

Less than a month later, police say the same group allegedly accosted two women while carrying a handgun, a rifle and a knife and pursued them until a witness stepped in. Peel Regional Police and Toronto Police arrested the three men following these incidents.

Evidence and Additional Allegations

After the arrests, investigators reportedly recovered a cache of firearms and other evidence that they say points to the possibility of additional hate-motivated crimes directed at members of the Jewish community. Authorities say a total of 79 charges have been filed against the three men, with each defendant reportedly facing 14 counts. Charges include attempted kidnapping with a firearm, sexual assault with a weapon and hate crime offences, in addition to Khan's terrorism-related charges.

What began as armed, coordinated attempts to kidnap women led to significant arrests and charges, stopping a dangerous escalation of hate-motivated crimes and terrorism across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond, Peel Regional Police Chief Nishan Duraiappah said in a statement.

Police credited coordinated investigative work among Peel Regional Police, Toronto Police Service and the RCMP. Fox News Digital noted that Adriana James-Rodil contributed reporting to the story.
