Brian Kilmeade Slams Trump’s ‘Presidential Walk Of Fame’ Plaques As ‘Trolling,’ Rejects Biden ‘Autopen’ Portrait

Brian Kilmeade criticized President Trump’s new “Presidential Walk of Fame,” saying the mocking plaques and an autopen image replacing Joe Biden’s portrait amount to pointless “trolling.” He warned the display could prompt future administrations to retaliate with their own alterations and urged a more respectful approach to any outdoor presidential installation. Co-hosts Jesse Watters and Greg Gutfeld disagreed, calling the plaques entertaining. The segment aired on The Five and was highlighted by Mediaite.

Brian Kilmeade, co-host of Fox & Friends, broke with several conservative colleagues during a roundtable on The Five to criticize President Donald Trump’s newly unveiled “Presidential Walk of Fame” — a series of plaques installed along the White House Colonnade that lampoon several recent presidents.

The plaques include mocking descriptions of former presidents and an altered portrait of Joe Biden replaced by an image of an autopen device. One plaque beneath that image reads: “Sleepy Joe Biden was, by far, the worst President in American history.” Other panels describe Barack Obama as “one of the most divisive political figures in American history,” while the label for Bill Clinton jokes that his wife, Hillary Clinton, “lost the presidency to President Donald J. Trump!”

Kilmeade Calls The Display ‘Trolling’

The segment was led by The Five co-host Jessica Tarlov, who called the additions “repulsive behavior” and asked Kilmeade for his reaction. Kilmeade responded plainly that he did not approve of the approach.

“No, I’m not for this at all,” Kilmeade said.

He argued the plaques invite tit-for-tat changes by future administrations and undermine the dignity of an outdoor presidential display. “So they’re just going to mock President Trump or put something on his plaque,” he warned.

Kilmeade was especially critical of the autopen image beneath Biden’s portrait, viewing it as an unnecessary and partisan jab tied to MAGA claims about Biden’s fitness for office. “I am not for the autopen,” he said. He suggested that if a commemorative outdoor installation is to be created, it should be done respectfully: “If he is going to do it, outdoors, just do it right, just put the profiles up there. I am not for dispelling or saying anything bad.”

He also referenced historical reappraisals of presidents — noting that leaders once criticized harshly, such as Ulysses S. Grant, have later been judged more favorably — and said he would prefer to avoid cheap mockery even if he doubts Biden’s legacy will be similarly rehabilitated.

Not Everyone Agreed

Two of Kilmeade’s co-hosts, Jesse Watters and Greg Gutfeld, dismissed his concerns and described the plaques as entertaining rather than problematic. The exchange highlighted a rare moment of dissent among conservative commentators over tone and presidential decorum.

Video of the segment was shown on Fox News, and the story was reported by Mediaite.
