A 36-year-old man in Hamilton, Ontario, climbed into the driver's seat of an unattended public bus while the licensed operator was on a short break and drove off with passengers aboard.
He continued along the route, stopping to drop off and pick up riders and reportedly refused boarding to someone with an expired Bus Pass, police said.
Officers followed, safely stopped the bus and arrested the man without injuries reported; he now faces charges including theft over $5,000 and obstruction.
