What Happened
Tulsa Police responded to a reported kidnapping at the store at approximately 5:08 p.m. local time. According to investigators, the woman told officers a man approached her while she shopped, briefly spoke about her two children and then lifted the 1-year-old out of her cart. The man reportedly placed the child into his own shopping cart and began to walk away.

Mother, Store Staff And Arrest
The mother confronted the suspect, recovered her child, and then locked herself and her children in a store bathroom to call 911. Store employees also intervened and removed the suspect from the premises before police arrived. Officers located Marshall Dixon, 50, sitting at a nearby bus stop and took him into custody; he was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on suspicion of kidnapping.

Statements And Evidence
The Tulsa Police Department released surveillance footage and body-worn camera video documenting the incident and the response. When officers asked Dixon about the reported abduction, he allegedly said,
"Yeah, I did that."
