Overnight Russian strikes hit Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk, killing at least nine people and wounding dozens. Zaporizhzhia officials reported six dead and 19 wounded; Dnipropetrovsk authorities reported three dead and five wounded. Moscow said it used high-precision ground-based weapons to hit military-industrial and logistics targets, while Kyiv warned that Russia has received additional ballistic missiles from North Korea and faces limits in interceptors such as PAC-3.
Russian Missile and Drone Barrage Kills Nine, Wounds Dozens Across Ukraine

Overnight Russian strikes across Ukraine killed at least nine people and wounded dozens, authorities said on Tuesday, amid Kyiv's allegations that Moscow has received additional ballistic missiles from North Korea.
What Happened
Regional officials reported attacks across Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk. Ivan Fedorov, head of Zaporizhzhia's regional military administration, called the assault "massive," saying missiles and guided aerial bombs were used. He later updated the toll to six dead and 19 wounded. In Dnipropetrovsk, regional head Oleksandr Ganzha said drone and artillery strikes across five districts killed three people and wounded five.
Russia's defence ministry said its forces "delivered a group strike with high-precision ground-based weapons, hitting military-industrial enterprises and transport-logistics centres" in Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia. In Kyiv, AFP journalists reported a series of explosions shortly after midnight following a citywide missile alert; Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on social media that the capital was "under ballistic missile attack." Ukraine's emergency service said a warehouse caught fire and one person was wounded.
Air-Defence And Strategic Context
Kyiv has warned that Moscow received additional ballistic missiles from Pyongyang. Only a limited set of air-defence systems — notably Patriot batteries — are designed to intercept ballistic missiles, and Ukraine's capacity has been strained by a shortage of PAC-3 interceptors and by increased regional demand for such systems. At the same time, Ukraine has stepped up strikes inside Russian territory, further heightening tensions along the front lines.
Casualty and damage figures remain provisional as investigations continue and local authorities update tolls.
