MK Sharren Haskel has been summoned by Lahav 433 to testify in the investigation into the invalidated election of state comptroller Michael Rabello. In a sworn affidavit, Haskel says New Hope–United Right members were compelled to film themselves voting and to show that footage to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Her allegation contradicts the Likud's position and was not submitted in the annulment case; she filed the affidavit with a separate petition seeking to split from Gideon Sa'ar's faction.
MK Sharren Haskel Summoned by Lahav 433 After Affidavit Alleging Filmed Votes in Rabello Comptroller Case

MK Sharren Haskel has been summoned by Lahav 433 to testify in the police probe into the contested election of state comptroller Michael Rabello, Haskel's spokesperson confirmed to The Jerusalem Post.
Background: The High Court of Justice previously annulled Rabello's appointment, finding that the practice of filming ballots had breached the secrecy of the vote and ordering the Knesset to hold a new ballot.
In an affidavit signed on Sunday, Haskel alleges that members of the New Hope–United Right faction were required to film themselves while voting for Rabello and to show that footage to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as proof of how they voted. According to Haskel, those recordings were made a condition of voting for Rabello.
The claim directly contradicts the position presented by the Likud during the legal proceedings over Rabello's election and was not submitted as evidence in that annulment case.
Timing and Legal Filings
Haskel signed the affidavit more than two weeks after the High Court of Justice invalidated Rabello's election and ordered a new vote, citing the filmed ballots as a fundamental violation of ballot secrecy. A Supreme Court hearing in Jerusalem on petitions seeking to overturn Rabello's election took place on June 18, 2026.
Rather than attaching the affidavit to the annulment proceedings, Haskel filed it with a separate petition in which she seeks permission to break away from Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar's New Hope–United Right faction and to be recognized as a one-member faction.
