Three men have been convicted and jailed after a jury found they groomed and sexually exploited a vulnerable teenage girl in Hull. Hamdulluh Hamdadd, 24, and Rafiullah Naseri, 21, were each sentenced to eight years in prison after convictions for child sexual exploitation and paying for sexual services of a child. Amjid Akakhail, 22, was jailed for four years after being found guilty of paying for sexual services of a child at Hull Crown Court.
The victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, first met Hamdadd in a shop when she was 16. The offences for which the men were convicted occurred between September and December 2025, when she was 17. Judge Alex Menary described her as a "vulnerable runaway teen" who regularly went missing and was groomed into a cycle she did not know how to break.
Prosecutors said Hamdadd and Naseri supplied the girl with alcohol and other drugs to keep her in their company and then solicited her for sex with other men, including Akakhail. Evidence included translated messages and voice notes in Pashto that investigators compiled as part of a complex inquiry.

As the defendants were led from the dock, Hamdadd reportedly made rude gestures and shouted at the victim in the public gallery; Naseri smiled and laughed during parts of the hearing. Detective Inspector Tim Hudson of Humberside Police called the case a "harrowing example of grooming and manipulatively controlled predatory behaviour," and said the men showed no remorse for the harm caused.
Hamdadd previously pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to possessing an extreme pornographic image and to making an indecent photograph of a child. Akakhail had earlier admitted making an indecent photograph of a child.
All three men — who police say are Afghan nationals and arrived in the UK as asylum seekers — were made subject to lifetime restraining orders, placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely and given sexual harm prevention orders for life. The judge and police publicly thanked the victim for her bravery and willingness to give evidence in what was described as a difficult investigation.
