“I Actually Have Panic Attacks”: Disillusioned Trump Voters Tell Jen Psaki They’re Done — Rising Costs, Broken Promises Fuel Backlash
‘I Actually Have Panic Attacks’: Trump Voters Seem Very Much Done With Him In MS NOW Clip

On MS NOW, several Trump voters expressed sharp disillusionment over rising living costs and perceived broken promises. Annette Dombrowski, an Ohio janitor, said economic stress has triggered panic attacks as her plant prepares to close. Truck driver Chris Tackett said Trump delivered in his first term but has backtracked since, while Rob Couch used profanity to voice deep frustration. Jen Psaki called the responses signs of possible "buyer’s remorse" among parts of the MAGA base.

Several longtime Donald Trump supporters delivered blunt criticism of the president in interviews aired on Jen Psaki’s MS NOW, saying rising prices and unmet campaign promises have left them frustrated and, in some cases, anxious about their futures.

The segments, reported by Alex Tabet, highlighted voices from Trump’s base who described mounting financial stress and a sense that the president has not followed through on key promises.

Voices From Ohio: Job Loss, Panic Attacks and Frustration

Annette Dombrowski, a three-time Trump voter and janitor from Ohio, said she faces losing her job when her plant closes at the end of June. She described how economic anxiety has affected her daily life and health:

"I actually have panic attacks. I’ve had a couple this past week. And I get very emotional over it. I don’t want to work anymore, but I can’t afford to retire."

Dombrowski told the show she believes Trump does not fully understand the financial pressures ordinary Americans face. She recounted cutting back on basics: thrift-store shopping, wearing lower-cost clothes and skipping dinners out. "You said you’d bring down the grocery prices," she said, adding that the items she buys seem to rise in price "literally every week."

Support Waning Among Some Former Supporters

Chris Tackett, a truck driver from Ohio who voted for Trump three times, said the president delivered on promises in his first term but that his second term has felt different. "He’s backtracked on every single pitch point he had during his election," Tackett said, referencing campaign calls to "drill, drill, drill" and saying instead that voters feel "drilled into the dirt with these prices."

Tackett told Psaki: "So, I’m not a fan of him. I voted for Trump all three terms. To be honest with you, I’m not a big supporter of him at this point. Get it together, man … you’ve had a year to make it better at this point, make it better. 'Make America Great Again,' right?"

A one-time Trump voter, Rob Couch, offered a blunt assessment: "**** you," he said when asked what he would tell the president, adding that he feels Trump is "disrespectful to us and he doesn’t care."

What Psaki Said

Psaki, the former White House press secretary, framed the interviews as evidence that parts of Trump’s MAGA base may be experiencing "buyer’s remorse," as longtime supporters confront economic pressures and unfulfilled expectations.

The segment illustrates how economic concerns — from grocery inflation to job insecurity — are shaping voter sentiment among some conservative-leaning Americans. The interviews are part of a wider public debate over whether the administration has adequately addressed the cost-of-living burdens facing working households.
