Police have said the incident is being treated as criminal and have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the explosion and who was responsible. Authorities have not yet released the victim's identity.
Emergency Response
Paramedics and firefighting crews responded to the scene. United Hatzalah medics reported that firefighting teams worked to extinguish flames after the vehicle caught fire. "Because the driver suffered extremely severe injuries, responders had to wait for official authorities to pronounce her dead at the site," the medics said.
No other injuries were reported at the scene.
