A 10-year-old boy was seriously injured after falling nearly 20 feet from an indoor zip line while celebrating his birthday at Spy Ninjas HQ, a trampoline and activity park in Las Vegas.
The incident occurred on Feb. 7, 2026, when family members say the child, identified as Knox, was strapped into a harness and gliding along the park's zip line. Relatives captured the fall on video; footage obtained by local station 8 News Now shows Knox suddenly dropping from the line and landing hard on his back and head.
The person filming immediately dropped their phone and ran to the child as panicked voices can be heard in the background. Several adults rushed to help, and Knox was given prompt attention at the scene.
Family Reaction
Navonte Hill, the boy's uncle who witnessed the fall, described the moment as devastating. "He landed straight on his back and his head," Hill told 8 News Now. The family says the footage is too traumatic to watch again, and called the event "the scariest moment" they have experienced—made worse because it happened on Knox's birthday.
Injuries and Recovery
Family members and local media reported that Knox suffered a concussion. More than a week after the fall, the family told reporters he was recovering and expected to return to school soon.
Park Response and Investigation
PEOPLE contacted Spy Ninjas HQ for comment. In a statement dated Feb. 18, the venue said: "At HQ, nothing matters more to us than the safety and well-being of our guests. On February 7, 2026, an incident occurred involving a young guest at our park. We have communicated with the family and our hearts go out to the child and their family, and our entire team wishes them a full and speedy recovery."
"Our staff responded immediately, following established emergency protocols to ensure the child received prompt medical attention," the park added. "We also recognize that witnessing such an event can be deeply upsetting; we are sincerely sorry to any guests who were affected by what they saw."
As part of its response, Spy Ninjas HQ temporarily closed the zip line and rope-course attractions to conduct a "comprehensive internal investigation." The park said it flew in an independent safety inspector to complete an outside audit and brought in an external expert to retrain the attractions team. Spy Ninjas HQ stated it will only reopen the attractions after the independent inspector declares the equipment safe.
8 News Now reported that the venue otherwise remained open for business while the safety review continued. Authorities and park officials have not released technical details about the cause of the fall; investigations are ongoing.
