CNN KFile: DOJ Files Reveal Draft Emails Linking Bill Gates to Jeffrey Epstein — Allegations Unverified

CNN KFile, citing a new DOJ release, reports two draft emails dated July 18, 2013 that appear to have been written by Jeffrey Epstein and allege he helped Bill Gates arrange sexual encounters and obtain medication to conceal an STD. The claims are unverified and remain uncorroborated. Bill Gates denies wrongdoing and says he regrets his association with Epstein; Melinda Gates says the revelations contributed to her decision to divorce and leave the foundation.

Andrew Kaczynski’s CNN KFile published an in-depth report based on a recent tranche of documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice that sheds new light on ties between Microsoft co‑founder Bill Gates and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

KFile says the files include a mix of graphic, unverified allegations and evidence of philanthropic coordination that appears more detailed than earlier reporting.

Key Documents: The report highlights two draft emails dated July 18, 2013, that KFile says appear to have been written by Epstein years after his 2008 conviction. In what Kaczynski describes as "stream-of-consciousness" notes, Epstein allegedly claims he arranged sexual encounters for Gates and helped obtain medication to conceal a sexually transmitted infection from Gates's then-wife, Melinda.

One draft reportedly says Epstein helped Gates get drugs "in order to deal with consequences of sex with russian girls" and to cover "illicit trysts, with married women." The same draft also references Gates allegedly asking Epstein to provide Adderall for bridge tournaments. Another draft alleges Gates tearfully asked Epstein to delete messages mentioning an STD and to provide antibiotics "that you can surreptitiously give to Melinda," as well as to remove explicit personal details.

Verification And Responses: Kaczynski emphasizes that the claims in these drafts are unverified and uncorroborated by independent evidence. Bill Gates has denied wrongdoing. When asked about the documents by CNN’s Australian affiliate Nine News, Gates said:

"Apparently Jeffrey wrote an email to himself. That email was never sent, the email is, you know, false. So I don't know what his thinking was there. It just reminds me, you know, every minute I spent with him I regret and I, you know, apologize that I did that."

Melinda Gates, who has cited her former husband's relationship with Epstein as one reason for their divorce after 27 years, told NPR she felt "unbelievable sadness" about an email suggesting her ex‑husband planned to secretly give her antibiotics after contracting an STD from "Russian girls." She said the revelations contributed to her decision to leave the marriage and ultimately step away from the foundation.

What To Know: The documents are newly public pursuant to a DOJ release. The most serious allegations currently rest on draft notes attributed to Epstein and have not been proven. Reporting on these materials is ongoing.
