"She loved rock n’ roll, thrift shopping, playing computer video games and discovering new makeup tricks," the GoFundMe organizer wrote. "Her favorite color was jade green, which symbolizes peace, calm, love and harmony — traits that represent Aileen."
The family noted Martinez also spent four years studying at a Miami music school and often performed with local bands; she was the oldest of three siblings and frequently played music with her brother. Community members and classmates have been sharing memories of her creativity and passion for both cosmetology and music.
