Kimberly Park told detectives she was told by Rebecca Park's fiance, Richard Falor, that he killed Rebecca and said 'something went wrong' while allegedly attempting to remove the unborn baby. Kimberly—who admitted an affair with Falor—was arrested on charges including tampering with evidence and filing a false report and is now on house arrest. Cortney and Bradly Bartholomew face multiple charges, including first-degree murder and torture, after prosecutors say they lured and tortured the 38-week pregnant woman, resulting in the deaths of mother and child. Falor has not been charged in the homicide, and the investigation is ongoing.
Sister Alleges Fiancé Confessed to Killing Pregnant Rebecca Park, Affidavit Says

The sister of slain, pregnant woman Rebecca Park told investigators that Rebecca's fiance, Richard Falor, confessed to killing her, according to a Wexford County Sheriff's Office affidavit obtained by PEOPLE.
Affidavit Details
In a Nov. 25 interview with two detectives, Kimberly Park—who had been taken into custody days earlier—waived her Miranda rights and told investigators she had previously lied to protect Falor, the affidavit states. Kimberly said that on Nov. 4, 2025, while at Falor's home, he told her, 'I killed Rebecca Park,' and added that 'something went wrong while trying to cut the baby out of Rebecca.' The affidavit quotes Lt. Chris Piskor as saying Falor asked Kimberly not to press for details to shield her.
Kimberly had earlier, in a non-custodial interview following discovery of Rebecca's body, told deputies that Falor said Rebecca had 'been taken care of' and that Kimberly should not worry.
Admissions, Arrests and Legal Status
Kimberly was the first person arrested in connection with the case; she was booked the same day Rebecca's body was found in the Manistee National Forest on Nov. 25. Charges against Kimberly include tampering with evidence, lying to a police officer and filing a false report. She was released a week later and is currently on house arrest after her bail was reduced from $750,000 to $5,000.
Falor has not been charged in Rebecca's death. Investigators attempted to question him, but he requested an attorney and the interview was terminated. Falor was released around the same time Kimberly was after his bail was lowered in a separate, unrelated drug case.
Other Allegations and Investigative Leads
In earlier interviews, Kimberly reportedly told investigators she had said the Bartholomews—Cortney and her husband, Bradly—struck Rebecca in the head, causing a seizure, and that when Rebecca could not be revived, Bradly contacted an associate who removed the body. The affidavit states Kimberly later said Falor told her to lie because he feared the investigation was closing in on him.
The man Kimberly named as a co-conspirator was questioned and released after providing phone records that placed him out of Wexford County on Nov. 3, the night prosecutors say Rebecca was killed.
Charges Against Cortney and Bradly Bartholomew
Cortney and Bradly Bartholomew face multiple charges related to Rebecca's death, including first-degree murder, felony murder, torture, conspiracy to commit torture, assault on a pregnant individual causing miscarriage/stillbirth and conspiracy to commit that assault—each carrying a potential life sentence. They are also charged with unlawful imprisonment and removal of a dead body.
Prosecutors allege the Bartholomews lured Rebecca—Cortney's biological daughter, who was about 38 weeks pregnant— to their Wexford County home on Nov. 3, where they allegedly tortured her while attempting to remove the unborn child, causing both mother and child to die. The affidavit also indicates Bradly told officials the couple could not adopt because he is a registered sex offender.
Statement From the Prosecutor
“This case involves a truly horrific homicide in which a young woman and her unborn child endured unimaginable suffering at the hands of the Defendants,” said Wexford County Prosecutor Johanna Carey. “While these remain allegations until proven in court, the evidence reflects an extraordinary level of callousness and violence. We look forward to presenting the full facts in court.”
Ongoing Investigation
The affidavit and related police actions remain part of an active, ongoing investigation. Kimberly's account of Falor's alleged confession has not resulted in charges against him for the homicide. Investigators say the other man Kimberly named provided records placing him away from the area the night prosecutors say the killing occurred.
