Purdue Extension's East Region will host the 2026 Agriculture Outlook Meeting in Winchester on Jan. 27 at the Randolph County Fairgrounds, starting at 10 a.m. The program features speakers addressing Indiana agriculture issues, the 2026 legislative outlook, market projections, farmland values and farm well-being. Winchester, Ind. — Purdue Extension's East Region will host its 2026 Agriculture Outlook Meeting in Randolph County on Monday, Jan. 27. The program will be held at the Randolph County Fairgrounds, 1885 S. U.S. 27, and will begin at 10 a.m.

What To Expect

This year's agenda features a strong lineup of speakers offering timely insights on Indiana agriculture, public policy, market outlooks, farmland values and farm well-being. The program is designed for farmers, landowners, agribusiness professionals and community members interested in the state’s agricultural outlook for 2026.

  • Don Lamb, Director, Indiana State Department of Agriculture — Update on current and emerging issues affecting Indiana agriculture.
  • Katie Nelson, Executive Director of Public Policy, Indiana Farm Bureau — Insights and updates from the 2026 legislative session.
  • Chad Fiechter, Center For Commercial Agriculture (Purdue) — The 2026 agricultural market outlook for Indiana.
  • Howard Halderman, President, Halderman Real Estate and Farm Management — Trends and expectations for farmland values.
