Mississippi Woman Arrested After Customers Find Razor Blades Hidden in Walmart Bread

A 33-year-old woman was arrested in Biloxi, Mississippi, after several shoppers reported finding razor blades concealed inside loaves of bread purchased at two Walmart locations, authorities said.
The Biloxi Police Department identified the suspect as Camille Benson of Texas. Benson was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with attempted mayhem; her bond is set at $100,000, local station Fox 26 Houston reported.
What Happened
Officials say the tampering occurred over the course of more than a week at two nearby stores: a Walmart Supercenter and a Walmart Neighborhood Market in Biloxi. According to the Associated Press and Fox 26 Houston, the first report came on Dec. 5 at the Supercenter when a customer told staff they had found a razor blade inside a purchased loaf.
A similar complaint was reported on Dec. 8 at the Neighborhood Market. On Dec. 14 another customer alerted Supercenter employees, prompting a store inspection that uncovered several additional loaves that had been tampered with. Police said two more complaints were filed on Dec. 15.
Response And Investigation
Walmart said it removed and thoroughly inspected all potentially affected products at the impacted Biloxi stores. "The health and safety of our customers is always a top priority," a Walmart spokesperson told Fox News Digital. The company urged anyone who believes they may have purchased a tampered product to discard it immediately and return to their local store for a full refund.
The Biloxi Police Department said investigators have not determined a motive and currently do not believe other stores were targeted. Police advised residents to inspect any bread purchased from Walmart locations within the city for sharp objects as the probe continues.
