Urgent Recall: Crayola-Branded CreateOn Magnetic Pip‑Cubes Recalled Nationwide Over Swallowing Hazard

The CPSC has recalled approximately 9,400 Crayola-branded CreateOn magnetic pip-Cube sets sold at Michaels and online because small magnets can detach and be swallowed by children. Ingested magnets can attract through intestinal walls and cause perforations, blockage, sepsis, or death. Affected sets include Bold Colors and Glitter Cubes in 24- and 27-piece versions; model numbers and UPCs are listed in the recall. Consumers should stop use immediately, contact CreateOn for a replacement, and use the provided pre-paid return label.

Crayola-Branded CreateOn Magnetic Pip-Cubes Recalled Nationwide

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a nationwide recall for certain Crayola-branded CreateOn magnetic pip-Cubes sold at Michaels stores and online. About 9,400 units are included in the recall after reports that small magnets inside the cubes can become loose during normal play and pose a serious ingestion risk to young children.

Hazard: If swallowed, magnets can attract to each other through intestinal walls and become lodged in the digestive tract, potentially causing perforations, twisting or blocking of the intestines, sepsis (blood poisoning), and even death. Caregivers should stop using the recalled sets immediately and keep them out of reach of children.

The recalled items include the following CreateOn Crayola-branded pip-Cube sets:

  • Bold Colors, 27 Cubes — Model 1000243 — UPC 850067300205
  • Glitter Cubes, 24 Cubes — Model 1000205 — UPC 850067300205
  • Glitter Cubes, 27 Cubes — Model 1000250 — UPC 850067300250

CreateOn will provide a pre-paid return label for consumers to mail back the recalled magnetic cubes. For additional details and to report incidents, consult the CPSC recall notice or contact CreateOn directly.

Medical Advice: If you suspect a child has swallowed one or more magnets from these toys, seek emergency medical attention right away. Prompt care is critical to reduce the risk of serious internal injury.
