Amol Prakash Godbole, 31, collapsed and died of a reported heart attack just hours after his wedding on Nov. 25. Godbole, a revenue assistant, had celebrated his marriage at the Shri Vitthal Rukmini Temple Hall in the village of Pusla surrounded by family and guests.

Shortly after the ceremony concluded, he began to feel unwell. He was taken first to a nearby health center and then transferred to a private hospital, where medical staff pronounced him dead on arrival. Local accounts attribute his death to a heart attack.
