Cheer Mom Sentenced to 26 Years After Admitting Sexual Crimes Involving Teens; Daughter Asked for Maximum Penalty

Leeann Yammarino, 44, was sentenced to 26 years in prison on Nov. 18 after pleading no contest in September to multiple sex-related charges involving minors.

Yammarino entered no-contest pleas to two counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile. She must register as a sex offender upon release.

The investigation began in July 2024 when detectives responded to a residence and interviewed several families. Authorities say statements from parents and juveniles prompted arrest warrants alleging that Yammarino sent explicit photos and videos to multiple teenage boys and engaged in sexual activity with at least one 15-year-old in her vehicle.

According to the affidavits, one 15-year-old showed his mother an explicit Snapchat photo reportedly sent by Yammarino. Detectives also interviewed additional male juveniles who alleged they received explicit images and videos over recent months.

At sentencing, Yammarino’s teenage daughter asked the judge to impose the maximum allowable sentence on each charge.
