Mayor Ihor Terekhov said on Telegram that a Russian strike hit a multi-storey residential building in Kharkiv, killing one civilian and injuring 37 others. Rescuers continue to search through the rubble for any additional victims.
Zaporizhzhya Casualty
In the Zaporizhzhya region, Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi reported on Telegram that a firefighter was killed after being struck while searching debris with colleagues for possible victims. The rescue team had been operating following a nighttime artillery raid when the area came under renewed attack.
Railway Attacks Reported
The Russian Defence Ministry in Moscow told state news agency TASS that its drones struck sections of Ukraine's rail network around Kharkiv, Dnipro and Sumy, damaging locomotives and wagons. These claims could not be independently verified and Ukraine did not comment.
