Russian ballistic missiles struck areas east of Kyiv overnight, killing at least three people including a child and wounding others. Local officials say falling debris damaged buildings, vehicles and sparked multiple fires that emergency crews are still tackling. President Volodymyr Zelensky traveled to Belgrade to press for more international support amid warnings that dwindling interceptor stocks are weakening Ukraine's air defences. The visit comes as Ukrainian strikes inside Russia and stalled mediation coincide with a recent escalation of attacks.
Child Among Three Killed As Russian Missiles Strike East Of Kyiv Overnight

At least three people, including a child, were killed after Russian missiles struck areas east of Ukraine's capital in the early hours of Saturday, regional officials said.
Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv regional military administration, reported that falling debris damaged apartment buildings and cars and that a separate building caught fire. He said three other people were wounded in the ballistic missile strikes.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on Telegram that emergency crews were battling fires at a building and a fuel tank in the capital. Ukraine's state emergency service, DSNS, released photos showing garages, a commercial property and a building ablaze and warned that "the number of victims is being clarified."
President Volodymyr Zelensky traveled to Belgrade amid warnings that dwindling interceptor stockpiles are weakening Ukraine's capacity to repel Russian missile attacks. Zelensky has said delays and reductions in anti-ballistic system supplies from partners have led to "horrific casualties and destruction." He has urged allies to accelerate and increase air-defence support.
In Belgrade, Zelensky was due to meet Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to discuss economic ties, Serbia’s path to the European Union and security cooperation. Vućic has so far declined to impose sanctions on Russia, though Serbia has provided aid to Ukraine and pledged help with postwar reconstruction.
The visit follows reported Ukrainian strikes on two oil refineries deep inside Russia and attacks on Moscow-linked vessels in the Black Sea, which Kyiv says aim to curb oil revenues that finance the war. Recent mediation efforts have stalled, coinciding with an escalation of strikes from both sides.
Note: Authorities are still clarifying casualty numbers as emergency teams continue to respond and investigate damage.
