Customer Refuses to Leave Chicago Nail Salon, Threatens Vandalism — Owner Calls Police

A viral X video shows a customer at Rose Nails in Chicago refusing to leave after the owner said the salon was closing, prompting the owner to call police. Commenters criticized both the patron’s behavior and the apparent passivity of responding officers. The clip begins after the disagreement started and the Daily Dot could not independently verify the full context.

A video that has gathered more than 100,000 views on X shows a confrontation at Rose Nails, a Chicago nail salon, after a customer refused to leave when the owner announced the shop was closing. The owner called the Chicago Police Department, and two officers arrived while the dispute unfolded on camera.

What Happened

According to the clip, the patron had an appointment for both a pedicure and nail service. After the staff completed the pedicure, the owner said he could not complete the nails because there was not enough time before closing. The customer — upset that she did not receive the full service she expected — refused to leave and continued recording.

On Camera

"This is why y'all always be getting your windows busted . . . 'Cause y'all wrong," the woman tells the owner on camera. She also says, "Your service is f****** whack! I come in here to get nails and feet. You do my feet, don't do my nails because you're closing at 7:00 . . . That's some BS."

Throughout the clip both the salon owner and the responding officers remain largely silent. The customer continues to direct insults and threats at the owner, saying, "If you're inconveniencing me, I'mma inconvenience you," and adding that she hopes no one else returns to the salon.

Some defended the owner's choice to stop services at closing time, noting that businesses generally retain the right to refuse service. Others blamed the customer for arriving late or using abusive language.
