The clip posted to Instagram by Diaz shows crew members taking down sections of the fence with hammers and a chainsaw as the homeowner repeatedly orders them off the property. At one point, the homeowner can be heard threatening to call police.

Diaz said his father’s fence company offered to repair or replace the affected pieces, but the homeowner refused that offer and told the crew to remove the fence. According to Diaz, the crew interpreted that request literally and dismantled the installation.

Diaz acknowledged dismantling the fence was not necessarily the proper way to handle the disagreement, but framed it as a reaction to customers who refuse to pay after work is completed. He also told the station the matter is now being pursued in court. The Will County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to FOX 32 that it is investigating the incident.
Conflicting Details and Public Response
As the clip circulated online, early reports suggested the confrontation may have involved a threat to call U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Diaz later disputed the stronger version of that claim, saying the homeowner threatened to call police and did place a call, though officers did not arrive, according to his account. The homeowner has not issued a public statement; a FOX 32 reporter who went to the address found no answer at the door.
